How do you become a tmap digital appprentice?
Our Digital Marketing Apprenticeship is a Level 3 qualification, which is the equivalent to 2 A Level passes. You can apply for an apprenticeship while you’re still at school, looking for work or employed. To start one, you’ll need to be:
- 16 or over
- living in England
- not in full-time further or higher education

If you are accepted as a tmap apprentice, you and your employer both sign a contract that makes it clear that the Apprenticeship Agreement reflects the fact that an Apprenticeship is primarily a job rather than training.
The tmap Digital Marketing Apprenticeship is a Level 3 qualification lasting circa 18 months. Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but this might include GCSEs, A levels, a Level 2 Apprenticeship or other relevant qualifications, relevant experience and/or an aptitude test with a focus on functional maths. Employers are likely to be looking for a proven passion for digital and social media.
Please note: Level 2 English and maths will need to be achieved, if not already, prior to taking the end point assessment.
What is a tmap digital apprenticeship agreement?
The Apprenticeship Agreement includes details of what your employer agrees to do for you as an employee, including:
- how long you’ll employ them for
- the training you’ll give them
- their working conditions
- the qualifications they are working towards

Our 18-month Apprenticeship programme is divided into Knowledge Modules:
- Principles of coding
- Marketing Principles
- Digital Marketing Business Principles.
Is the tmap apprenticeship accredited?
Each Apprentice participates in a carefully constructed and Ofqual-recognised syllabus and assessment process aligned with the detailed standards and qualifications specifications as laid down by the government and assessed by our Knowledge Module and End-Point assessment partners BCS.
